History
A clarinet is a single reed woodwind invented around 1690. The clarinet came from an instrument called the chalumeau. The chalumeau was improved by Johann Christoph Denner and his son making a new instrument, the clarinet! In 1843 the clarinet was improved further by Klose when he adapted the flute key system to the clarinet. It was first used in a symphony by Mozart.
